Sigma Nu Awards and Honors
Sigma Nu Beta Beta strives for excellence and has been fortunate to win several awards over the recent decade.
Rock Chapter – On August 25th, 2020 the Beta Beta Chapter was honored with the Rock Chapter Award for the 2018-2020 biennium. This award honor collegiate chapters that have attained an ideal state across all areas of chapter operations as measured by the Fraternity's Pursuit of Excellence Program.
Sigma Nu National Chapter Awards – Awarded on an annual basis to recognized excellence in a specific area of each chapter's operations. For the 2019 -2020 academic year Beta Beta was awarded:
- Regent's Award for Academic Excellence
- Excellence in LEAD Phase I
- Excellence in LEAD Phase II
- Excellence in LEAD Phase III
- Excellence in LEAD Phase IV
- Excellence in All Chapter LEAD
- Excellence in Values-Based Leadership
- Excellence in Personal Development and Membership Value
DePauw University – Each year the Fraternity and Sorority office works with DePauw's Order of Omega chapter to recognize and award members/chapter os DePauw's Greek community. During the recent awards cycle Beta Beta won:
- Outstanding Chapter President
- Chapter Alumni Volunteer of the Year
- IFC New Member of the Year
- IFC Rising Leader of the Year
- Philanthropy and Community Service - Outstanding Community Partner
- IFC Chapter of the Year
Individual Awards – From time to time the leaders of Sigma Nu will be recognized for their academic success, contributions to the fraternity, and community service. Most recently, Kris Nguyen was award the International Student Scholarship Award and before him Cody Watson and Nate Smith were recognized as Alpha Chapter Affiliates.
